Molly offers a fresh insight into one of Europe’s least known and understood countries: Azerbaijan. Based on work with one of her constituents in the South West she explores how human rights abuses by the Azerbaijani government are impacting on people’s lives, particularly those working in civil society and the media. She argues that the UK government is turning a blind eye to the routine flouting of human rights in the quest for lucrative oil and gas deals.
